Avoid alcohol, caffeine(2 hours), and blood thinners 48 hours before.

Discontinue retinol, AHA/BHA, and exfoliants 3–5 days before.
Arrive with clean, makeup-free lips and exfoliate your lips 1-2 days before your appointment.
